Once again, not much to write about today. We went on a train then spent several hours in an attempt to reach our hotel. Once there, I immediately honed in on the conveniently located model aircraft shop near the lobby. I checked out the prices and decided that shopping there might not have been as fun as originally thought. A mass-produced 6 inch model costs around $40 whereas a fee 10 times that will only get you a small model of a Fokker Dr 1 Triplane. I'm not a big fan of the monetary decisions of that place. Anyways, we retired to the lounge where they had some delicious chocolate cake with heavenly sauce. A big bonus was that it was free (free as in "don't pay for it at the time of consumption. We probably paid for luxuries like this with the cost of the hotel room). We don't have much more time here, but I might just continue writing after I get back. We're not going buisiness on the way back, but that matters not as I will have plenty of memories to get me through the trip.

well JM .... I have tried to follow your trip but have not been very diligent in doing so ...

sounds like you are having a wonderful summer vacation ... just so you have something to which compare viz., normal summer vacations for kids .... I can remember one of my summer vacations as a 'kid' ... I lived in Morden and Winkler (an even smaller town, with even fewer things to do) was 7 miles down the road ... my vacation was a one week vacation in Winkler at my friends Grandma's house .... I suppose the high lite of the trip was we drove to Winkler in the back of a big grain truck !

wow ... Winkler or London ... that is real contrast ... be sure and thank Grandpa and Grandma for a great time ...

Hey Jean-Marc, Dad here.

Glad you are safe at home. Sorry I wasn't there to greet you. It was awesome being able to speak to you and get the video chat going while on the train. Technology rocks.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the great pictures and hearing all the great stories.

I really think you ought to start your own blog. You write wonderfully and have, shall we say, a unique outlook on the world.

Take care,
Love Dad
